Privacy Policy

This page describes what Stoicism, Explained Simply actually does today. It is a static website: there is no user account system, no database, and no advertising currently running on the site.

Information we don't collect

This site does not currently use any analytics, tracking, or advertising service. Browsing the site does not create an account, and no personal profile is built from your visit.

Server logs

Like effectively any website, the hosting provider serving these pages may keep standard technical logs (such as IP address, browser type, and requested page) for security and reliability purposes. A production hosting provider has not yet been chosen; this policy will be updated with specifics once one is (see the site's build documentation for current status).

The contact form

The contact form sends the name, email address, and message you submit to Web3Forms, a third-party form processing service, which relays it to us by email. We don't otherwise store or process that information ourselves. Web3Forms' own handling of that data is governed by their privacy policy, available at web3forms.com.

Browser storage

This site stores one small piece of information in your browser's local storage: your light/dark theme preference. This stays on your device, is never transmitted to us, and is not used for tracking. No cookies are set by this site.

Future changes

If analytics, advertising, or affiliate links are added to this site in the future, this policy will be updated to describe them accurately before they go live.
